A seasoned Wall Street veteran, with broad-based expertise in regulatory compliance, business management, brokerage and financial services operations. Mr. Gilbert serves as General Counsel, with vast knowledge in the areas of compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, capital markets regulation, estate planning, wills and trust, and general business law.
Norbert PJ Gilbert, earned an undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in 1990 and spent several decades working at some of the nation’s top financial institutions, including Wachovia Securities Financial Network, and TD Waterhouse where he held senior level executive positions before obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law, where he graduated in 2014.
In addition to more than 25 years of diversified experience in all aspects of the financial services industry, Mr. Gilbert also worked as an independent business consultant helping to develop and turn around small to mid-sized companies servicing clients in various industries such as brokerage, retail sales, technology, and other. Most notably, in 2006 Mr. Gilbert was a founding member and served as COO of Gazelle.com, now the nation's leading consumer electronics trade-in site with over $125 million in annual revenue.
In his spare time, Mr. Gilbert enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife of 29 years, Multida and two children, Jody (26) and Jordan (22).
